Job Details

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible to carry out routine 12-volt vehicle electrical work including preparation and the fitting of the electronics equipment as defined by standards and work orders.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Run electrical wiring using in-house built and prebuilt wiring harnesses.
  • Integrate and install OEM wiring harnesses in Bearcat.
  • Prep and install component assemblies such as switch panels, fuse boards, and relay panels.
  • Install exterior electronics such as thermal cameras, 360 camera systems, sirens etc.
  • Install interior electronics such as lights, monitors, radios etc.
  • Vehicle OEM 12-volt diagnosis and repair

  • Must own mechanics tool set in accordance to Lenco standard tool list.

Plasma Operator

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Plasma Operator is responsible for the setup, operation and tending of the (CNC) Plasma Table and supporting equipment. He/she produces parts created using the plasma table while maintaining quality and safety standards.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Receive processing direction and nesting table from Engineering and Supervisor
  • Set up and operate plasma table to cut parts used in the creation of vehicles
  • Identify and verify proper gauge and type of steel to be cut
  • Load table by lifting steel into position using crane and various other lifting devices
  • Maintain specifications by observing plasma table cutting, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls
  • Replace worn consumables adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Examine cuts visually or by hand to verify quality and accuracy
  • Grind edges of material using a pneumatic grinder
  • Monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, indicators or meters to ensure optimum processing conditions
  • Maintain continuity by communicating and documenting actions, irregularities and ongoing need
  • Maintain all documentation including time sheets, and nest reports
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions, trouble shoot malfunctions and inform supervisor of problems and malfunctions that occur
  • Remove debris from machine by running slagger

Welder / Fabricator

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for performing a variety of welding involving fabrication, alteration, and repairs of metal parts.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Weld and fabricate metal components per drawing/prints and work orders
  • Layout fits and welds components for assembly based on pre-designed specifications
  • Grind off excess weld, slag or splatter, using hand scraper, power chipper or portable grinder, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion
  • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
  • Responsible for sound welds and accuracy of assembly
  • Observe and identify any fault in equipment, material and assembly process, then notifying supervisors
  • Control the processes of fitting burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating and/or distortion of the parts
  • Clamping, holding, tack welding, heat bending, bolting, or grinding parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements
  • Requisition parts and equipment as necessary
  • Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair

Job Summary:

The Build Preparation Employee is responsible for the blueprint reading and proper assembly of parts used during the Building Phase.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Basic welding skills and knowledge
  • Reading blueprints and drawings for design layouts.

Parts Sales Representative

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Parts Sales Representative supports the Parts Sales Manager in fielding new inquiries and interacting with existing clients in support of parts and product install sales to government agencies, domestically and internationally.  Responsibilities include providing technical specifications and quotations, competitive justifications and follow-up; as necessary.  Primary customer communication is via email and phone, with 2 – 3 trade shows and customer demonstrations annually along with routine customer visits to Lenco’s primary manufacturing facility in Pittsfield, MA.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Field incoming leads from US Government and Military agencies; domestically and internationally
  • Provide technical specifications and price quotations
  • Communicate with Production to request Lenco built parts as needed
  • Satisfy and resolve customer requests and complaints
  • Update customer on status of orders
  • Ensure smooth flow of daily paperwork
  • Complete all departmental documentation within internal systems
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Participate in 2 – 3 Trade Shows annually when they resume (post-COVID restrictions)

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow up on returns and credits requests
  • Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
  • Other duties as assigned

 EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient in MS Office preferred
  • Inventory control experience helpful
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Automotive industry knowledge preferred

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Government Sales Representative

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Government Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of new and used model Lenco BearCats to County and Local Law Enforcement, as well as Fire Departments and EMS Agencies throughout the United States.  Daily responsibilities include following up with email and phone leads, providing technical specifications, creating vehicle quotations and follow up; as necessary.  Primary customer communication is via email and phone, with 15-20 trade shows (pre-COVID) and customer demonstrations annually.  The Government Sales Representative is also responsible for supporting customer visits to Lenco’s primary manufacturing facility in Pittsfield, MA.    

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Field incoming leads from US County and Local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and EMS Agencies
  • Provide technical specifications, price quotations and competitive justifications
  • Input all communications in Lenco’s CRM database
  • Follow Government Tender / Bid requirements, and provide project management in their submission
  • Coordinate with Contracting and Compliance Department to ensure Lenco Terms and Conditions are met throughout sales process
  • Participate in 15 – 20 trade shows (pre-COVID) annually
  • Support Factory Tours and Product Demonstrations
  • Follow-up with existing leads to grow sales in County and Local Law Enforcement
  • Identify and establish new clients to add to Lenco’s customer base in Fire and EMS Agencies
