Press Brake Operator

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible to prepare and run the press brake machine to bend and form parts and materials for vehicles.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Preparation and run bend setups and forming operations
  • Work with supervisor to ensure material for each job is on schedule
  • Requisition parts and equipment as necessary
  • Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate
  • Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result of internal actions and advise the supervisor accordingly
  • Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
  • Record all hours worked accurately

Manufacturing Engineer

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on our fabrication processes including but not limited to CAM/Plasma CNC table, forming, welding and grinding.  Developing, implementing and maintaining optimal, cost-effective processes and documentation will be the foundation of this role as well as process improvement, process documentation, quality initiatives and technology acquisition.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards
  • Confer with planning and engineering concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient manufacturability/production methods
  • Lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Evaluate equipment and tools for efficiency improvements, monitors OEE
  • Design and implement new tooling
  • Work with vendors to determine tool/technology specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, process methods, space requirements and layout
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions
  • Assist in quality improvement by documenting problems, determining root cause and implementing preventative measures
  • Confer with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Troubleshoot part fitment issues and make recommendations for adjustments
  • Create and update Standard Work Instructions (SWI’s) for documentation of assembly and repair procedures
  • Carry out process improvement, problem resolution and project management in an effective and timely manner
  • Create and conduct process training for new and current employees

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design new products and redesign existing parts for vehicles
  • Assist with SolidWorks Models/drawings and Bill of Materials
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies

 INTERACTION WITH:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong CNC Plasma, welding, metal forming and assembly experience
  • Capital equipment selection and justification
  • Visual Management, Day by Hour charts, kaizen, setting up Kanban replenishment and Cell/Value Stream layout
  • Preventative maintenance of equipment and buildings
  • Overhead cranes and forklifts
  • Work as a team with Engineering, Operations, Sales & Marketing and Finance
  • 3D printing and laser cutting machines a plus
  • SolidWorks and CAD software skills and experience a plus
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Development of standard work instructions and line balancing
  • Fixture, work holding, tool and gauge design and manufacture
  • CNC programming and set up a plus
  • DFMEA experience.
  • Two (2) years of Manufacturing Engineering required
  • Four (4) years of relevant experience preferred

 EDUCATION:

  • College education or Trade school required
  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology or Industrial Engineering preferred

CAD Operator

Job Details

Job Summary:

The CAD Operator position develops and maintains Models and Drawings in accordance with manufacturing methods, product specifications, and quality standards. Improves legacy model health, as well as creates new models to the highest standard. This Individual will need to be self-motivated, and work proficiently as part of a team, as well as independently.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Create/maintain 3D models for parts, weldments and assemblies utilizing SolidWorks 3D solid modeling.
  • Creates/maintains engineering drawings for production to consistently reproduce the design and verifies the engineering data conforms to the original design goals and department standards.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of Bills of Material (BOM) for manufactured and purchased parts used throughout the production process via PDM and internal ERP systems.

 INTERACTION WITH:

  • Design, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineers
  • Customer and vendor interaction
  • Production, Sales, Quality, Technical Services and Purchasing Departments

 EXPERIENCE:

  • One (1) to five (5) years of related work experience

Production Supervisor

Job Details

Job Summary:

Supervise all shop operations, control work-flow and ensure a safe and productive workplace.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Effectively monitor the efficiency and accuracy of production departments, employees and processes
  • Develop and maintain daily production schedules
  • Delegate work assignments to production employees
  • Prepare reports and be prepared to discuss with management the status of department metrics, workload and current projects
  • Assist with material ordering and material availability concerns
  • Monitor work in-process to maintain Quality throughout production phase
  • Throughout the vehicle build process, collaborate with production staff to track and rectify missing materials, supplies, fabricated parts or design issues

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience leading a process-oriented manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a metal fabrication and welding environment along with familiarity with automotive products
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Six Sigma experience preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • 5S experience preferred

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field is desirable with additional compensation, but not required

Warehouse Shipper

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Shipper is primarily responsible for organizing, planning and packaging outgoing shipments both physically and electronically in Lenco’s ERP system.

 

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Obtain and process out-going product orders
  • Material handling and stocking of materials into proper storage areas
  • Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges
  • Schedule shipment and plan logistics utilizing shipping vendors (FedEx, UPS, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of product to our customers
  • Utilize ERP system to track and record inventoried items
  • Maintain records of shipped goods
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise
  • Assist in kit assembly
  • Assist receiver with unloading trucks

 ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Build shipping boxes and crates as necessary
  • Keep hand tools in organized and working order
  • General assistance to other employees when requested
  • Maintain the stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis

Vehicle Electrical Technician

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible to carry out routine electrical work including vehicle preparation and the fitting of the electronics equipment as defined by standards and work orders.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Run electrical wiring using in-house built and prebuilt wiring harnesses.
  • Adapt and install OEM wiring harnesses in Bearcat.
  • Prep and install component assembly’s such as switch panels, fuse boards and relay panels.
  • Install exterior electronics such as thermal cameras, 360 camera systems, sirens etc.
  • Install interior electronics such as lights, monitors, radios etc.
  • Adhere to existing work practices, procedures and policies.
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies.
  • Must own mechanics tool set in accordance to Lenco standard tool list.

  • ASE certification required. Preferred qualifications L2 or A6-A7 or E1-E3 or T6-T7. (preferred qualifications must be obtained within 1 yr. of employment)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems and their components.
  • Knowledgeable in air conditioning, suspension and other mechanical systems.

Purchasing Representative

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Purchasing Representative is responsible for purchasing raw materials, finished materials, supplies, and outside services for the benefit of Lenco Industries.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and place all orders verbally, electronically, or via fax for all raw and finished materials, supplies and outside services.
  • Process purchase orders
  • Coordinate with Production to ensure required dates are accurate
  • Make delivery and pick up arrangements
  • Ensure that accounts payable receives all purchase orders, invoices and packing slips in a timely manner
  • Work with accounts payable on discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices
  • Supplier management including requesting vendor quotes and prospective lead times for deliveries
  • Research stock discrepancies
  • Establish, build and maintain effective relationships with all key suppliers
  • Review and resolve any discrepancy with supplier invoices, grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues
  • Evaluate all Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy in quantities, material, & shipping
  • Communicate all pertinent issues that concerns suppliers to Purchasing Manager
  • Negotiate pricing to identify and realize savings without impacting production
