Engineering

Design Technician

Job Details

Job Summary: The Design Technician is responsible for creating, modifying and prototyping a variety of designs for new and existing vehicles and parts.  

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design new products and redesign existing parts for vehicles
  • Produce SolidWorks drawings and bill of materials for final shop drawings
  • Fine tune all new and existing parts for production
  • Create solid modeling/prototypes of design projects
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met

Additional Job Functions:

  • Hands-on prototyping and testing of designed parts and accessories
  • Welding and metal fabrication of prototypes
  • Troubleshoot designs and make necessary adjustments
  • Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Interaction With:

  • Various levels of internal staff within a variety of departments.
  • Some customer interaction

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • College education preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient SolidWorks skills and experience
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience a plus.
  • 3D assembly drawing ability
  • Knowledge of drafting standards
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Manufacturing

Press Brake Operator – Full Time

Job Details

Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Preparation and run bend setups and forming operations
  • Work with supervisor to ensure material for each job is on schedule
  • Requisition parts and equipment as necessary
  • Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate
  • Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result of internal actions and advise the supervisor accordingly
  • Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
  • Record all hours worked accurately

Qualifications:

  • Must have full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
  • Experience working with Press Brake Machine

Stockroom Coordinator – Full Time

Job Details

The Stockroom Coordinator is responsible for receiving and distributing materials in the stock room, compiling stock reports and maintaining accurate counts in the inventory database.  As needed, this position is also responsible for transporting vehicles, raw materials, product and other items to and from various destinations.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receive materials into stock and verify quantities, part numbers and documentation accuracy
  • Prepare necessary documentation for parts and products being sent to vendors
  • Packing and preparing (box, palletize, package and load) items for shipment
  • Submit purchases requests to the purchasing department
  • Maintain all department equipment are in good working order
  • Process daily paperwork and work order logs
  • Issue parts and supplies to coworkers
  • Prepare Bill of Laden for vendor shipments and deliveries
  • Review work orders and prepare build, electric and finish kits for production department.
  • Put away, organize, and manage stock located in the stock room as well as on the production floor
  • Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates and receipts applying signatures as appropriate
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Carry out requisitions within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Report and follow-up on returns and credit requests with Purchasing Department
  • Maintain and periodically organize and clean storage locations
  • Assist in periodic physical inventory of all parts and related accessories
  • Offer new ideas to streamline departmental procedures
  • Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction
  • Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
  • Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner

Additional Job Functions:

  • Assist in the manual loading and unloading of cargo and materials
  • Drive company-owned vehicle to transport vehicles, materials and products to and from vendors and locations
  • Maintain truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Properly secure tie downs and blocks to secure cargo for transport
  • Clean, inspect and provide light service to the delivery vehicle as needed
  • Operate equipment on the vehicle to load, unload or disperse cargo and materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Interaction with:

  • Work closely with the purchasing department to ensure proper delivery and pick up of goods from various vendors
  • Obtain proper vendor signatures for all delivered and received goods
  • Work with parts production and purchasing to ensure inventory is at satisfactory levels
  • Respond to co-worker’s requests for parts and supplies in a timely manner

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ inventory control experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience driving and loading cargo

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Fork truck certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Mail) skills

Sales & Marketing

 

Marketing Manager – Full Time

Job Details

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and managing Lenco’s annual marketing and advertising initiatives.  In addition, this individual will photograph vehicles, design company materials and support advertising sponsorships within various customer industries.  Key tasks conducted by the individual or with the support of third party vendors as follows.

 

 

Key  Responsibilities Include:

  • Create the annual print and digital advertising plan, including monthly placement schedule and negotiated rates
  • Design digital and print ads using Adobe Creative Suite to submit to magazines and websites, per the established advertising plan
  • Maintain Lenco WordPress website including updating text and imagery, creating new content and pages and running website traffic reports
  • Create new product flyers as new vehicles and vehicle variants are introduced by the company, as well as updating older model flyers with new images and content
  • Create company brochures and update older brochures with new images and content as necessary
  • Coordinate with Contracting & Sales Administration office to organize marketing materials required for 20+ tradeshows around the country each year

Other Miscellaneous Duties:

  • Photograph vehicles as needed, upload photos to the company shared drive and edit photos as necessary
  • Develop familiarity with ACT! CRM to implement customized tradeshow email marketing
  • Video filming and editing on a small ‘product features’ basis to create short ‘features and benefits’ videos
  • Maintain industry association sponsorship chart
  • Maintain inventory levels of marketing supplies, including apparel, hats, keychains, challenge coins; and additional items as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong skillset in Adobe Creative Suite & Graphic Design
  • Excellent writing ability with strong attention to detail
  • Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to learn and articulate the Lenco product line
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with WordPress CMS a plus
  • Photography and Video experience a plus
  • Familiar with Active Campaign and Mail Chimp a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently while maintaining scheduled deadlines

Sales Engineer

Job Details

The Sales Engineer will interface between the US & International Sales team and the Engineering and Technical departments to help prepare sales materials, bid proposals and technical documents.

 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel.
  • Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
  • Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new automotive regulations; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions.
  • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Learn the Lenco product line, technical features, options list and end uses
  • Telephone and email contact with domestic and international Law Enforcement, Military and Government personnel; a friendly, courteous and professional manner is a must.
  • Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines
  • Some travel to 6 – 8 Industry Trade Show; domestic and international
  • Will work closely with US and International Sales Managers, Marketing, Contracting, Engineering Dept and Technical Services Dept.
