Engineering

Mechanical Design Engineer – Full Time

Job Details

The Mechanical Design Engineer position develops and implements optimal, value-added mechanical designs and manufacturing methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct Mechanical Designs for automotive and metal fabricated sub-assemblies utilizing SolidWorks 3D solid modeling.
  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials; soliciting observations from operators and production staff.
  • Ensures engineering drawings describe how to consistently reproduce the design and the engineering data conforms to the original design goals.
  • Reviews listing of components for computed BOMs, SOLIDWORKS BOMs, weldment BOMs, and weldment cut lists to facilitate data export.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of bills of material (BOM) for manufactured and purchased parts used throughout the production process.
  • Provides production, labor, and material cost reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, assembly methods, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Assists in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, and training.
  • Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, and project management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology or related Engineering field
  • 5 – 10 Years Experience
  • Strong Experience with SolidWorks
  • Efficient with Microsoft desktop applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Manufacturing Engineer – Full Time

  • Experience with concepts involved in product data management (PDM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent communication skills – Active listener and conveys information to others effectively
  • Complex problem solving – Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Systems Analysis – Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes

Manufacturing

Fabricators/ Welders – Full Time

Job Details

Key Responsibilities include:

 

 

 

      • Weld and fabricate metal components per drawing/prints and work orders
      • Layout fits and welds components for assembly based on pre designed specifications
      • Grinds off excess weld, slag or splatter, using hand scraper, power chipper or portable grinder, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion
      • Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
      • Responsible for sound welds and accuracy of assembly
      • Observing and identifying any fault in equipment, material and assembly process, then notifying supervisors
      • Control the processes of fitting burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating and/or distortion of the parts
      • Clamping, holding, tack welding, heat bending, bolting, or grinding parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements
      • Requisition parts and equipment as necessary
      • Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair
      • Maintain a clean and tidy work area after use
      • Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate
      • Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result of internal actions and advise the supervisor accordingly
      • Undertake relevant training and development as required 
      • Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met
      • Record all hours worked accurately.

Automotive Mechanic – Full Time

Job Details

Key Responsibilities include:

 

 

  • Mechanical installation of equipment: such as Thermal Cameras, SCBA systems, Fire Suppression Systems, Ballistic glass, Roof turrets, gunports and seats
  • You will work closely with our mechanical and electrical departments in a team environment to complete installation of Lenco vehicle air conditioning and electrical systems.
  • Vehicle production work for our worldwide client base: Military, Law Enforcement and Government Special Operations Agencies.
  • Work orders completed within company production timelines to ensure our high quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • Looking for a team player who works independently and efficiently under pressure.
  • Must have automotive painting experience.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.
  • Obtain Overhead Crane certification when offered by the company.

Automotive Painter – Full Time

Job Details

The primary duties are all the functions of automotive painting, which include preparing surfaces for primer and painting, preparing with tape and paper to protect from splatter and mixing paint according to instructions and company requirements. In addition, you will need to monitor painting operation in order to identify flaws, sand vehicle surfaces between coats perform routine maintenance on the paint booth and paint gun.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Looking for a team player who works independently and efficiently under pressure.
  • Must have automotive painting experience.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds.

Press Brake Operator – Full Time

Job Details

Key Responsibilities include:

 

 

  • Preparation and run bend setups and forming operations
  • Work with supervisor to ensure material for each job is on schedule
  • Requisition parts and equipment as necessary
  • Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repair
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Complete all documentation including inspection sheets, certificates, and receipts applying signatures as appropriate
  • Identify abnormalities and repairs required as result of internal actions and advise the supervisor accordingly
  • Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reduction
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Undertake relevant training and development as required
  • Carry out work orders within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are met
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships, and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population
  • Record all hours worked accurately

Qualifications:

  • Must have full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished part
  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision

Office

Purchasing & Logistics Agent – Full Time

Job Details

The Purchasing & Logistics Agent is responsible for purchasing raw materials, finished materials, supplies and coordinating outside vendor services in support of Lenco’s Production Schedule.  The Purchasing Agent will also manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain Lenco quality standards and delivery timelines.  Expertise with supplier research, price negotiations, ERP software, logistics and data integrity are core requirements in this position.       

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Review and place orders electronically for all raw and finished materials, supplies and outside services
  • Coordinate Lenco raw and finished material shipping and receiving with Driver / Material Handler
  • Establish and implement procurement strategies, policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Stockroom departments to establish inventory stock levels, reorder amounts and lead times for all materials
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers
  • Establish, build and maintain effective relationships with all key suppliers
  • Review and resolve any discrepancy with supplier invoices, grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues
  • Evaluate all Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy in quantities, material, & shipping

Other Miscellaneous Duties:

  • Respond to incoming vendor phone calls and email
  • Provide Accounting Department periodic raw materials costs to assist in maintaining product costing
  • Maintain Bill of Materials on standard and specialized products
  • Adhere to and carry out existing Lenco Industries work practices, procedures and policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate
  • Understand and comply with Lenco safety and environmental policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent, Logistics Coordinator or similar role
  • Working knowledge of Sage Pro or enterprise inventory software
  • Strong Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Negotiation skills

Educational / Experience Requirements:

  • College Degree
  • 5+ Years Minimum / 10+ Years Preferred

Sales & Marketing

Government Sales: US & International – Full Time

Job Details

The Government Sales Representative is responsible for fielding new leads and interacting with existing clients in support of sales to government agencies, domestically and internationally.  Responsibilities include providing technical specifications and quotations, competitive justifications and follow-up; as necessary.  Primary customer communication is via email and phone, with 15 – 20 trade shows and customer demonstrations annually along with routine customer visits to Lenco’s primary manufacturing facility in Pittsfield, MA.      

Key Government Sales Responsibilities:

  • Field incoming leads from US Government and Military agencies; domestically and internationally
  • Provide technical specifications, price quotations and competitive justifications
  • Follow Government Tender / Bid requirements, and provide project management in their submission
  • Coordinate with Contracting and Compliance Department to ensure Lenco Terms and Conditions are met throughout sales process
  • Participate in 15 – 20 Trade Shows annually; primarily domestically, but some internatinally
  • Support Factory Tours and Product Demonstrations
  • Follow-up with existing leads to grow sales
  • Identify and establish new clients to add to Lenco’s customer base

Key Position Requirements:

  • 10+ Years in US Government Sales required
  • Experience in International Government / Distributor Sales is a plus
  • Bachelors Degree
