Job Details

Job Summary:

The Design Engineer is responsible for the development of 2D and 3D files, drawings, layouts of vehicle parts and assemblies. This position requires independence in resolving design challenges and non-routine drawing assignments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Create designs for metal fabricated parts and assemblies using SolidWorks 3D.
  • Create full truck models and related documentation for the production dept.
  • Create drawings for external vendors for the purpose of machining or fabricating.
  • Effectively manage files using PDM software.
  • Effectively work independently in a team environment while managing multiple projects of varying degrees of urgency and complexity.
  • Collaborate with members of production staff to review designs and resolve manufacturing concerns.
  • Complete department ECR’s (engineering change request) as assigned to repair/modify current designs or drawings.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of bills of material for manufactured and purchased parts.
  • Assist in improvement of standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, and training.
  • Assist and implement prosses improvement via design and manufacturing improvement techniques.
  • Carry our daily project management and problem resolution.

Electrical Engineer

Job Details

Job Summary:

The electrical engineer is a hands-on individual who is independent and motivated. They design, validate, document, and standardize the electrical circuits for the Lenco vehicles. They work with vendors to test new lights and similar equipment for future projects and vehicles, provide specs for critical electrical components and assist Technical Services when customers need after-sale electrical support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Conceptualize and design electrical schematics for the vehicles and accessories
  • Create, standardize, and maintain detailed documentation on all electrical systems and peripheral equipment
  • Design communications or navigational equipment related to the electrical control systems
  • Assist in the installation of electrical systems into the vehicles
  • Ensure all circuits and parts are correctly installed and function as intended
  • Perform product control and system evaluations
  • Inspect design plans

Automotive Electrician

Job Summary:

The Electrical Technician is responsible to carry out routine 12-volt vehicle electrical work including preparation and the fitting of the electronics equipment as defined by standards and work orders.

Welder / Fabricator

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for performing a variety of welding involving fabrication, alteration, and repairs of metal parts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Weld and fabricate metal components per drawing/prints and work orders
  • Layout fits and welds components for assembly based on pre-designed specifications
  • Grind off excess weld, slag or splatter, using hand scraper, power chipper or portable grinder, and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion
  • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
  • Responsible for sound welds and accuracy of assembly
  • Observe and identify any fault in equipment, material and assembly process, then notifying supervisors
  • Control the processes of fitting burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating and/or distortion of the parts
  • Clamping, holding, tack welding, heat bending, bolting, or grinding parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements

Job Details

Job Summary:

The Build Preparation Employee is responsible for the blueprint reading and proper assembly of parts used during the Building Phase.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify and verify proper gauge and type of steel to be cut
  • Load table by lifting steel into position using crane and various other lifting devices
  • Maintain specifications by observing plasma table cutting, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls
