Today, moving VIPs and tactical operators discreetly from one point to another presents a major challenge. Increasingly sophisticated IED technology and the proliferation of heavy-caliber weaponry have caught up to the protective capabilities of traditional up-armored SUVs. At the same time, incidents of kidnapping, hijacking, or assassination continue to rise. The government and law enforcement agencies responsible for VIP safety need a purpose-built armored SUV capable of avoiding and/or neutralizing these threats. The VIP configuration features bucket seating to transport VIPs in relative comfort and total safety. A tactical SUV configuration includes a floor plan designed to provide fast entry and exit, along with room for up to six fully-equipped operators to work efficiently. Every Lenco armored SUV is built with Mil-Spec steel armor plate, certified to defeat multi-hit attacks from 7.62 AP to .50 caliber BMG rounds. The ceilings and floors provide enhanced blast and fragmentation protection, and ballistic glass windows offer the same multi-hit defeat and crystal-clear vision.
