Job Summary: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for supervising the sourcing and procuring of raw materials, finished materials, and supplies required to produce and support our product line. This role manages relationships with key suppliers to maintain Lenco quality standards and delivery timelines while providing direct leadership to the Purchasing and Stockroom Department staff. This role supports Lenco’s incoming and outcoming logistics, including vehicle freight and material transfer between facilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct and manage the Purchasing team and Stockroom Manager to align procurement and warehouse goals with production targets.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Purchasing strategies and specific KPIs.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with all key suppliers.
- Resolve discrepancies with supplier invoices with Accounts Payable.
- Resolve non-conformance or quality issues with Quality Control team.
- Oversee overdue purchase orders and update delivery dates to mitigate production impacts.
- Lead alternative vendor initiatives to optimize costs and reduce rework or returns.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to establish inspection requirements for received items.
- Partner with the Stockroom and Accounting to manage inventory levels and product costing.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience required (10+ years preferred).
- Proven leadership ability with experience supervising a team.
- Working knowledge of enterprise inventory software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a specific emphasis on Excel.
- Excellent communication and high-level negotiation skills.
- Experience managing freight quotes, contracts, and international shipping logistics.
- Ability to exercise individual judgment regarding complex procurement strategies.
- College Degree required.
