Will unveil redesigned BearCat® G4 Light Armored Vehicle alongside Meritor, Inc.

Lenco Armored Vehicles, the leading manufacturer of tactical armored security vehicles for law enforcement, government and special forces worldwide, will be exhibiting at the Association of the U.S. Army’s (AUSA) 2021 Annual Meeting and Expo October 11–13 in Washington, D.C. alongside Meritor, Inc. During the expo, Lenco will unveil the redesigned BearCat® G4 Light Armored Vehicle, which showcases the Meritor ProTecTM Series 3000 front and rear all-wheel drive beam axles, among other enhanced mobility and user-driven features.

“We have been quietly working on the G4 for the last year plus, striving to perfect this vehicle designed to protect military personnel,” said Lenny Light, Lenco Armored Vehicles vice president. “It is a versatile vehicle meant to provide incredible mobility in an armored, lightweight and durable platform. This vehicle is ideal for a variety of uses within the armed forces and includes state of the art safety, technology and modular armor protection.”

A key feature of the BearCat® G4 is the ProTec Series 3000 front and rear all-wheel drive beam axles with CTIS. Both front and rear axles are equipped with Meritor’s bevel gear hub wheel-ends, currently in operation on the U.S. military’s Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program vehicles, and feature standard driver-controlled differential lock (DCDL) carriers to enhance mobility. Other impressive features of this new and improved BearCat variant include modular replacement glass, an integrated central tire inflation system (CTIS), and a 360º situational awareness system along with Command & Control equipment to support battlefield awareness.

The AUSA 2021 Annual Meeting and Expo will be held October 11–13 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. It is the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in North America and is designed to deliver the Army’s message by highlighting the capabilities of organizations and presenting a wide range of industry products and services.
